About Me
What an interesting, complex and challenging phenomenon this thing called life really is! I can remember when I was a child, wondering why I didn't fit in with the ease that other children did. I even remember feeling that I moved differently to them! So, I became an avid observer of human behaviour and of life on Earth.
This was initially born of a need to fit in with my environment. It was only later, as an adult, that I dropped this need. However, the passion for exploring and understanding life has never left me.

Since a spiritual awakening when I was 20, my life has seemed to be an ever changing flow. I discovered that as I came to realisations about myself, so the outer world seemed to automatically change around me. I was manifesting things that both supported my realisations and gave me the space for further exploration. This certainly is not an easy path mind you. It has plunged me into a world of constant transition. I've dealt with heart break, grief, intense frustration and anger, and loss of identity, among other things. At times it can be painful, but I wouldn't change it for the world!
Over the years I lived in many different 'situations' with different people, and explored a range of jobs. Some of the work I have done in the past includes care-giver roles such as Support Worker for adults with severe learning disabilities, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy for elderly people, and Emergency Ambulance work. I have also done cleaning, cooking in a hotel, bedroom design and sales, and teaching sports to school kids. These, among other adventures, have given me a broad range of life experience dealing with the hurdles people face at different periods of their lives.

Now that I work as a Spiritual Facilitator for all spiritual issues, life transitions such as break-ups, and for those in the final stages of life, I feel a huge up-welling of energy within myself. A spark has ignited, which wasn’t there before, and I’m loving every minute of it. I have been on the side which often fights death (and therefore certain aspects of life) for a long time. It's never felt like a completely aligned expression of who I am. Now, I facilitate other peoples (and therefore my own) journeys at whatever stage of life they’re in. I remove all those self-built damns so that the river can flow again along its destined path.
Although born and brought up in England, I currently live in Austria with my children. My other passions include expressing myself musically through playing banjo, being in and exploring nature, and playing basketball. I am grateful for my family and friends, and all those in the Openhand community who have made this journey such an interesting one. Find out more about my work and perspective by reading some of my articles, or checking out my Facilitator Profile on the Openhand website.
