What an interesting, complex and challenging phenomenon this thing called life really is! Ever since I can remember I have had a passion for observing and contemplating life, especially how we humans fit into this complex web. I have an energy that gently penetrates into the heart of things and it is my passion to express that heart and to explore with others the deeper aspects of who we are. People I work with usually experience me as grounding, gentle and non-judgemental.
Since a spiritual awakening when I was 20, my life has seemed to be an ever changing flow. As I progressed along my inner path, so the outer world changed around me. I have been mainly attracted to care-giver roles such as Support Worker for adults with severe learning disabilities, Physio and Occupational Therapy for elderly people, and Ambulance work. These, among other adventures, have given me a wide range of experience with many of the hurdles that people face at different periods of their life, including the final stages.
Now that I have come to work as a Spiritual Facilitator for both general spiritual issues, and for those in the final stages of life, I feel a huge upwelling of energy within myself. A spark has been ignited which wasn’t there before and I’m loving every minute of it. I have been on the side which often fights death (and therefore certain aspects of life) for a long time, and it has never felt like a completely aligned expression of who I am. Now, I facilitate other peoples (and therefore my own) journeys at whatever stage of life they’re in, to remove all those self-built damns so that the river can flow slowly along it’s destined path.
Although born and brought up in England, I currently live in Austria with my partner and two children. My other passions include expressing myself musically through playing banjo, being in and exploring nature, and playing basketball. I am grateful for my family and friends, and all those in the Openhand community who have made this journey such an interesting one. Find out more about me by reading some of my articles, or checking out my Facilitator Profile on the Openhand website.
